As a seasoned physical therapist, I know the most effective approach to treatment includes quality time with patients and an application of a comprehensive, individualized treatment methodology. Simply put, I look beyond the area of pain to find the true source.
To create a space for my vision for treatment, I founded Cranial Pain Solutions—a private physical therapy practice dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of head, neck, and TMJ pain and disorders. The focus is one-on-one time with each patient to create an individualized treatment plan.
To treat, I utilize a combination of manual techniques, such as joint and soft tissue mobilization, dry needling, myofascial release, and facilitation of proper movement patterns. This promotes healing and independence for a full return to daily function.
I have experienced headaches since my teenage years along with neck and jaw pain in adulthood. My personal journey created a deep desire to understand and study the therapeutic treatments for these conditions.
I attended the University of Cincinnati for a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Physical Therapy. I also obtained a Doctorate of Physical Therapy with a focus on in-depth study of the craniofacial region, cervical spine, and TMJ from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. I have two Certifications in Cranio-Facial Physical Therapy including Cranio-Facial Certified (CFC) and Certified Cervical & Temporomandibular Therapist (CCTT). These have advanced my training in the evaluation and hands-on treatment for the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), cervical and upper thoracic spine, facial pain, and headaches.

Through my education and personal experiences, I have developed a passion for helping others find relief from chronic pain and dysfunction. I am dedicated to providing high-quality, individualized care to each of my patients and strive to empower them to take control of their own health and well-being.
I have honed my skills in treating a wide range of orthopedic and neurological deficits. I utilize a variety of manual therapy techniques and dry needling to alleviate pain and reduce any joint or soft tissue restrictions.
I believe it is important to then challenge the neuromuscular system to improve neuroplasticity through purposeful movement. I also enjoy connecting with my clients to help motivate them and help them reach their goals to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle full of joy.
I am a graduate of the University of Cincinnati where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in Exercise Movement. I then went on to pursue my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Campbell University in 2018.

What Patients Say About Cranial Pain Solutions…
Following a bunch of dental work, I dealt with chronic TMJ / neck tension that I couldn’t get rid of no matter what I tried. I got several dental bite adjustments, tried a mouth guard at night, etc. Heck, even got my wisdom teeth out to try and fix it! Nothing worked. I had a ton of tension and an off-balance/dizzy feeling almost daily for 2 years! It was terrible.
After learning that TMJ could cause these symptoms (I had no idea), I searched the internet for solutions. I found Cranial Pain Solutions and booked an appt with very little hope that this could be fixed.
I worked with Adelyn who was really great at listening to all my concerns / symptoms and helping me narrow down the root cause of everything. We did a combo of dry needling and myofascial release. To my surprise, in just a few sessions my tension had almost completely subsided and I was able to experience tension free days for the first time in years! I truly had no clue that muscle tension could cause all the problems I was experiencing daily.
I'm super happy with my experience and highly recommend PT for anyone dealing with similar things as I did!

Disappointed due to lack of flexibility and understanding. This service is extremely helpful and expensive because it's out of pocket! Still, I took the time off work and allocated the funds for my wellness, so you can imagine my distaste when I'm told I'll be charged a $125 cancellation fee because I have to stay home with my puking, sick child. Trust me, I'd bring him if I could! So now my $195 appointment costs $125 and all I got was a bucket of puke and I'm out the money to make it happen. I guess they'd rather have their $125 than a regular attending patient. This world is SO HARD already, why do you have to punish already suffering humans for what is out of their control?!? Three stars indicates basic service expectations were met and nothing above/beyond. Five stars could be achieved if they demonstrated more flexibibility with scheduling and grace for emergencies. Ultimately, I recommend their services if you KNOW life won't throw you a curve ball and mess up your schedule - otherwise you're at risk of losing money and only gaining stress.
I can not believe the difference the PT made in relieving my pain. I had several office visits and home exercises which help tremendously. I am very thankful for Dr. Sarah’s expertise in this field.
I’ve suffered from TMJ for over a decade and after exploring every avenue, I wound up at UC with my final options being PT (through a corporate PT company), steroid injections every three months followed by surgery if no improvement. I attended PT as recommended and saw virtually no change - important to note that this type of PT was a quick in and out, copy and paste regimen that was not led by anyone after they “taught” me stretches the first time. I really didn’t want to begin steroid shots for the rest of my life and wanted to find a more natural approach, and that’s when I discovered Debbie.
I’ve been seeing Debbie for almost a year now and the improvement with my TMJ issues is truly incredible. Before seeing Debbie, I lived with migraines round the clock, I couldn’t eat basic foods without my jaw having spasms and me holding it with tears and I had to cut sandwiches and burgers into small bites and shove it in my mouth because I couldn’t open my jaw up wide enough.
The first few sessions with Debbie I was hopeful, but didn’t see an immediate change. After about three sessions, it was like the floodgates opened and the pain and tension just started draining away. I had a decade plus of clenching, grinding and damage that needed help being undone before a difference was noticed. I believe it’s important to mention this and be honest because if you do go and see Debbie, don’t give up if the first few sessions don’t solve your pain. Be consistent and trust in the process and I promise you will be so glad you stuck with it!
Debbie also cares about you not only as a patient but as a person. She genuinely cares and is so kind. Every visit she starts by getting new measurements, discussing your concerns and setting a new baseline. There is no copy and paste session because she is always modifying your appointment based on what changes and symptoms you are exhibiting. She advocates for your health alongside you and we all know how hard that is to find with healthcare professionals these days. I cannot overstate how vital Debbie has become in my health journey!
I will also note that my husband has chronic back pain and he sees Tina through the office as well. While I cannot attest to her services, my husband has stated how much of a blessing she has been for him. He use to complain multiple times an hour how much pain he was in and couldn’t hold our young children or walk far without his back seizing up. I owe Tina a huge thank you for seeing the change in my husbands physical and emotional demeanor and helping him get his life back.
This is the place for you!
She brings a unique skill set, and during your time with her, she does a very nice job of educating you about your situation. She provides exercises that you can do at home to progress between your visits with her.
We were very pleased to see the progress my daughter made.
After the course I understood how she could help my patients but didn’t think about how she could help. I found myself increased muscular, tightness, and discomfort that amounted to interfering with my daily activities and decided to see if her services could help me. It was the best experience and relief that I have ever gotten. She did dry needling on my muscles in my back, and it was everything I was looking for in all of the other courses of therapy that I had tried in the past, but never successful in. I was skeptical in the beginning but after the first time, I saw Debbie she instantly provided relief to me. Now I drive 50 minutes to see her monthly and have never felt better!
(2021) I have had pain in my neck and jaw for 2 years and finally decided to seek treatment. I am a physical therapy student, so I knew PT was an option I wanted to try. Debbie is AMAZING. She really cares about her patients, and her techniques are very specific and effective. She has a wide breadth and depth of knowledge of a complex body region and for that I was able to fully entrust my care to her. She is a compassionate, excellent clinician, and I highly recommend her services to anyone with head/neck/jaw pain.
I started going to Dr Debbie Clarke on January 3rd this year due to a very scary thing where my jaw had locked open and dislocated. After a little over a month, she has fixed the mobility issue of my jaw. For the past 15 plus years I had headaches every other day. After getting treatment from Dr Debbie Clarke, I have had zero headaches. I had neck vertebrae instability that I had not realized how much it was an issue until she started to correct it.
After years and years of having these horrible issues that I had just accepted, they are not only corrected, but I feel like a new person.
Thank you Dr Debbie Clarke at Cranial Pain Solutions for the possibility to have this!
At our first appointment, Debbie did a thorough evaluation to find the source of the pain in my child’s jaw, head and neck. Debbie used gentle movements while assessing my daughter, looking for abnormalities or impairments in movement patterns. Debbie took her time to explain what she was going to do and why, making sure my child was comfortable to proceed and also understood the process.
During the sessions, Debbie used different manual techniques. She performed myofascial release, joint and soft tissue mobilization and dry needling. I was in complete shock when my daughter agreed to have dry needling done on her jaw. My daughter absolutely hates needles but she trusted Debbie enough to let her do it! That is really saying something about how great Debbie is with her patients. My daughter said the dry needling gave her so much relief from pain.
At each visit, Debbie taught my daughter exercises that would promote healing and could be done at home. The exercises included learning proper posture and improved the function and movement of her jaw and neck. My daughter did these exercises in between visits and she saw fast improvement!
Debbie is an incredibly kind and professional person. Her office was private and had a pleasant atmosphere.
If you are in pain, stop reading this and just call her. You will never regret that decision. Work with someone that is worth entrusting your health to. Choose Dr. Debbie.
