Dr. Debbie Clarke
PT, DPT, CFC, CIDN, CCTT
As a seasoned physical therapist, Dr. Debbie Clarke believes the most effective treatment is built on quality one‑on‑one time and a comprehensive, individualized approach to care. Rather than focusing only on where pain is felt, she looks beyond the symptoms to identify the true source of the problem.
To support this philosophy, Dr. Clarke founded Cranial Pain Solutions, a private physical therapy practice dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of head, neck, and TMJ pain and disorders. The practice is centered on individualized care, with focused one‑on‑one treatment designed to meet each patient’s specific needs.
Her treatment approach incorporates a variety of manual techniques, including joint and soft tissue mobilization, dry needling, myofascial release, and facilitation of proper movement patterns. These techniques are used to promote healing, restore function, and support a full return to daily activities.
Dr. Clarke’s dedication to this specialized work is deeply personal. Having experienced headaches since her teenage years, along with neck and jaw pain in adulthood, she developed a strong desire to understand and study effective therapeutic treatments for these conditions.
She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Cincinnati, followed by a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where her doctoral studies focused extensively on the craniofacial region, cervical spine, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ).
Dr. Clarke holds two advanced certifications in craniofacial physical therapy including Craniofacial Certified (CFC) and Certified Cervical & Temporomandibular Therapist (CCTT), placing her among only eight dual‑certified clinicians nationwide. She is the only provider within 250 miles of Cincinnati with this rare combination of credentials.
These certifications represent advanced training in the comprehensive evaluation and hands‑on treatment of TMJ disorders, facial pain, headaches, and cervical and upper thoracic spine dysfunction. Dr. Clarke is deeply committed to education and mentorship, working closely with her therapists through direct collaboration and advanced specialty training as they pursue certification. This shared commitment ensures every patient receives the highest level of evidence‑based care focused on identifying the root cause of pain and achieving lasting, meaningful relief.
